Catching Made Simple Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 25, 2026

Introduction

Catching Made Simple ("CMS," "we," "us") is an online coaching business for baseball and softball catchers, based in Irvine, California. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

It covers catchingmadesimple.com and our other pages, our coaching programs (including the Complete Catcher Protocol and the Catching Mastery Program), our courses and apps, our live calls, and the emails and text messages we send.

Our programs are bought by parents and guardians for their catchers. When we say "you," we mean the parent or guardian unless we say otherwise.

Information we collect

We collect three kinds of information: what you give us, what your catcher sends in during the program, and what is collected automatically when you visit our pages.

We only ask for what we need to run the program. Please don't send us sensitive details (like medical information) unless a coach asks for something specific, such as an injury that affects training.

How we use information

We use information to run the program, communicate with you, improve what we do and market CMS. Specifically, to:

  • Review applications and schedule calls.
  • Enroll your catcher, process payments and manage your plan.
  • Deliver coaching: video reviews, Mini Missions, level progress, live calls and parent updates.
  • Send emails and texts about your application, calls, program and account.
  • Send marketing emails and texts, if you opted in (you can opt out anytime).
  • Measure and improve our website, ads and programs.
  • Train and coach our own staff, for example by reviewing recorded calls.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our terms and meet legal obligations.

We do not use your catcher's information to show ads to your catcher.

Children's privacy

Our programs are for young catchers, but they are bought and managed by parents and guardians. Our website and ads are aimed at parents, not children.

  • Parents enroll. A parent or guardian applies, joins the sales call, pays and gives permission for their catcher to take part. Children cannot buy a program on their own.
  • What we collect about catchers. Only what we need to coach: first name, age or grade, sport, team level, goals, practice videos and progress. Most of it comes from the parent.
  • Catchers under 13. We collect a child's information only with a parent's permission, given at enrollment.
  • Live calls. Catchers may join group Zoom calls. Calls may be recorded for coaching and quality, and recordings are only shared with CMS staff and the families on that call.
  • Parent controls. A parent can ask to see, correct or delete their catcher's information at any time, and can withdraw permission. Email us using the contact details below.
  • No sale, no ads to kids. We never sell children's information or use it to target ads.

If we learn we collected a child's information without a parent's permission, we will delete it.

Photos, videos and testimonials

We only use a catcher's photos, training clips or story in our marketing with a parent's permission.

  • With permission, we may share them on our website, social media, emails and ads.
  • For catchers under 18, we normally use first names only, and use a full name only with a parent's permission.
  • A parent can withdraw permission anytime by emailing us. We will stop using that content in anything new and remove it from our website and ads. Posts already shared by others may stay online.
  • Coach video reviews shared inside the program (for example, group video breakdowns) are only visible to CMS families and staff.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools to run our website, measure what works and show our ads to parents who are likely to be interested.

  • Needed to run the site: login, checkout and security cookies from Kajabi.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, which shows us which pages and ads lead to applications.
  • Advertising: the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. It tells Meta when someone visits our pages or applies, so we can measure our ads and show them to similar parents. Meta may use this data as described in its own privacy policy.

Visitors from the EU and UK see a cookie banner and can accept or decline non-essential cookies.

How to limit tracking:

  • Change your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
  • Adjust your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • Opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org, and out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Blocking some cookies may break parts of the site, like logging in or checking out.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, CMS may text you about your application, scheduled calls, your program and, if you opted in, offers.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to stop texts at any time. Reply HELP for help.
  • Agreeing to texts is not required to buy anything.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

We send texts through our CRM provider, which only uses your number to deliver our messages.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information or your catcher's. We share it only with companies that help us run CMS, and only what each one needs.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of our families or staff, or if CMS is sold or merges with another business (this policy would still apply).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information or your catcher's at any time.

  • Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Texts: reply STOP.
  • Ad tracking: see Cookies, analytics and advertising above.
  • Access, correction or deletion: email [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (for example, California's) may give you extra rights, such as knowing what we collect, deleting it, correcting it and opting out of targeted advertising. Send those requests the same way. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

We keep some information when the law requires it, such as payment records.

Keeping, protecting and updating

How long we keep information. We keep information while your catcher is in a program and for a reasonable time after, so you can come back or so we can meet legal and tax requirements. We keep training videos and coach reviews so your catcher can go back and rewatch them. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Security. We use trusted providers and limit access to staff who need it, such as coaches reviewing your catcher's videos. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee it.

Visitors outside the US. CMS is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed here.

Changes. If we update this policy, we will change the effective date at the top. For major changes, we will also let current families know by email.
